Quins RL eased their passage into the Challenge Cup quarter finals with a comfortable 06 – 66 quashing of National League Two minnows Oldham Roughyeds yesterday at Sedgley Park.
The Quins opened the scoring after just a minute through man of the match Chris Melling and also saw centre Paul Sykes collect a hat-trick amongst the twelve tries scored, but they were made to work hard by a gutsy Oldham team who can walk away from this fixture with their pride intact.
Brian McDermott’s attention will now turn towards Saturday’s away trip to Warrington Wolves.
